Susmita Gongulee Thomas

Mrs. Thomas joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1976, as one of the youngest senior bureaucrats in India. She has served in Spain, Japan, and Washington, DC, from 1990 to 1993 as the Counselor Political. She subsequently has served as the Indian Ambassador to Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia before being named Indian Ambassador to Chile.
Prabhu Pingali
Deputy Director for Agricultural Policy and Statistics, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Dr. Pingali has authored nine books and over ninety referred journal articles and book chapters on food policy, technological change, productivity growth, and resource management in the developing world.
